Dear Riverside Families,
We look forward to welcoming many of our students back to in-person instruction this week after a long stretch of remote learning along with the winter break. A few key reminders as we head back to school tomorrow:
* First, it is imperative that all families and staff members follow all guidelines related to travel, quarantining, and contact tracing as those measures are essential for us in maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment. Should you have any specific questions about protocols -- specifically when your child(ren) may need to stay home -- please reach out to our school nurse Sarah Gooen-Chen.
* We will welcome our Cohort A students to the building tomorrow and Wednesday followed by our Cohort B students on Thursday and Friday. Because we do not have a "Wednesday" this week, we will be following our "Monday" schedule for specials tomorrow and our "Tuesday" schedule for specials on Wednesday. Your child(ren)'s teachers will update you on what you need to know.
* Finally, we are excited to welcome most of our kindergartners and 1st graders (along with a few older students) to our four-day-per-week model starting this week. I want to thank our teachers, other support professionals, and custodians for helping us to get ready for this important change as we seek to use all of our available space to maximize in-person instruction for those who need it most. Please be patient and flexible during arrival and dismissal as we adjust to additional children and parents joining us daily.
Wishing you all a wonderful week!
