Dear Riverside Families,

I am writing to share with you some information about "Kindness Week" that we are celebrating from today through Friday, and we would love to have all of students participate in one or more activities that dovetail perfectly with our Upstander Code of Values and Behavior.

Specifically, please take a picture of your children doing something kind and share that photo with Mr. Samara (bensamara@princetonk12.org) by 5:00 pm this coming Friday, May 15th.  He will put together a slideshow to share with the community

Some possible examples include:

•Doing the dishes

•FaceTiming a grandparent

•Making a card for a friend

•Doing something nice for your brother, sister or pet

I also want to use this platform to let you know that we are working with district administrators and health officials to arrange opportunities in June for each family to come by the school to pick up any belongings that your child may have left in his/her classroom and to return any library books or other items owned by the school.  Once we have further guidance and more details, we will share those with you.

Finally, as part of that close out and clean up process, each of our teachers will be working for several hour blocks of time in the building at some point during the last two weeks of May. Thus, please understand that when their turn comes, your child's teacher may be making some adjustments to his/her teaching schedule, plans, and availability for one or two days.

Wishing you all a wonderful week!

Sincerely,

Mark Shelly
