Update: There is an ongoing investigation and the district will share details as they become available.
Dear Princeton Unified Middle School Families:
On Wednesday, the middle school was evacuated to PHS due to a bomb threat.
We evacuated the building at approximately 9:40 AM on Thursday. Students and staff should be lauded for executing our procedures effectively and adjusting when necessary to follow the required social distancing.
At approximately 12:25 PM the police deemed it was safe to return to the building, and students finished the day at PUMS. We dismissed at 1PM.
There is no connection between this event and the suspicious person/vehicle at Riverside earlier in the week.
I want to thank Mr. Warren, Mr. Johnson, and Ms. Birge for hosting our students at PHS while police did their work to ensure we were safe.
At this time, I want to thank our staff for their diligence and commitment to keeping our students safe. I would like to thank our students for their assistance and their cooperation. Finally, I want to thank our families for your patience and understanding. We apologize to our hybrid and our remote students whose learning was interrupted today.
