Princeton Middle School wants to make the transition from fifth grade to the middle school as easy as possible. There are now a variety of programs designed to welcome incoming Grade 6 students to ensure that they will feel comfortable when they arrive at Princeton Middle School.Thank you to Ms. Bernal who worked with fifth graders from Community Park, Johnson Park, Littlebrook and Riverside to provide information about the transition.
This year’s 8th grade promotion ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 16 on the Princeton High School Football Field. The event will begin at 9:30 AM. Guests should be seated by 9:16 AM. Students should arrive dressed and ready to participate. They should go first to their Block One class as they would on any other school day. Block One begins at 8:25 AM.

PPS has been working with the Center for Applied Linguistics on a program review of the Dual Language Immersion program at Community Park and Princeton Middle School.
Thank you to the many parents and students who have participated in focus groups this week. The Dual Language Immersion program has been in existence for seven year and provides students with the opportunity to learn daily in two languages, Spanish and English.

To keep students safe and to facilitate contact tracing, we are asking parents to upload student vaccine status into a secure portal that is part of our existing student information system, PowerSchool.

The Board of Education voted to re-name the middle school based on student, staff, and community polling results. After July 1, the middle school will be known as Princeton Middle School. In polls, the most students voted for a non-person-specific name.
Welcome back to PUMS! We will "phase up" on April 19. It is expected that we will welcome 610 students back to school on Monday, April 19, approximately 75% of our total enrollment.
On Wednesday, Dr. Galasso addressed all PPS families with updated plans for expanded instruction and an overview of plans across the district.
PUMS will be all remote on Thursday, February 18. We will follow our hybrid schedule. Thank you for your flexibility during this period of uncertain weather.
On Wednesday, the middle school was evacuated to PHS due to a bomb threat.
We evacuated the building at approximately 9:40 AM on Thursday. Students and staff should be lauded for executing our procedures effectively and adjusting when necessary to follow the required social distancing.

Monday will be an all remote day for all PPS schools due to weather conditions. Please remember to do the Daily Health Screening form.
AT PUMS... We will be keeping our HYBRID schedule tomorrow, so that we can observe our learning and maintain previously scheduled meetings etc. We will have our four scheduled blocks, and our day will conclude at 1PM, same as if we were attending in person.

PUMS Hybrid Schedule and PUMS All Remote Schedule
The Middle School’s new Innovation Lab is a flexible learning space that can be configured for a wide range of uses. It can be used as a remote learning center during the pandemic and it is also suited for classes that involve collaboration, including coding classes, robotics and technology classes.
All PUMS students are invited to participate in the Family YMCA program "Paths to Success," a weekly online interview series.
