Princeton School Counseling

Throughout a child's education, school counselors are here to help support students and advocate for the equity, access, and success of every student. School counselors collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, professional staff, parents, and community partners to maximize the development of educational, career, personal, and social skills that students need to thrive as responsible citizens in a diverse and changing world.

At Princeton Middle School, there are three dedicated school counselors, each assigned to a specific grade level, with an average caseload of 280 students per counselor. As students progress through middle school, our counselors move with them, establishing strong relationships with both students and families. This continuity allows for personalized support and guidance tailored to each child's changing needs.

School Counselors at Princeton Middle School strongly value collaboration with parents and community members to create a nurturing environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Whether providing short-term individual counseling, facilitating group sessions, or working closely with educators and families, their focus remains on empowering students to set achievable goals and reach their full potential throughout their middle school experience.

We encourage you to explore the school counseling resources, mental health resources, and book recommendations assembled for parents of middle schoolers. These resources complement the support offered within our school and strengthen our partnership with families.

Thank you for your support of our middle school counseling department. We are excited to collaborate with you in fostering the success and well-being of every student at Princeton Middle School.
