Dual Language Immersion at Princeton Middle School
Having arrived at the middle school three years ago, he first cohort of the Princeton Public Schools' Dual Language Immersion program is now in eighth grade. As had been planned and announced since the inception of the program at Community Park in 2015, the middle school DLI program would comprise two courses: a Spanish language class and a Social Studies/Cultures class in Spanish. While participation in the DLI program is mainly for students coming from Community Park, each year the program has welcomed new students who demonstrate proficiency in Spanish language. Families wishing to investigate joining the program should contact Priscilla Russel, the DLI supervisor, or their student's academic counselor.
The DLI will end when students exit the middle school; however, students will continue their Spanish language studies at the high school in a class at the appropriate level.
