PHS student Hanqi Ma has been named a top 300 Scholar in the 82nd Regeneron Science Talent Search, a science and math competition. Hanqi was recognized for research relating to an empirical analysis of consumer preference change after the Russo-Ukrainian War.
The study investigates the impact of the conflict on consumer preferences and consumer rationality with empirical analysis, including the change in consumer preference using an analysis of the number of customer visits to Ukraine and Russian restaurants in New York City.
Each Regeneron Scholar will receive $2,000, and their schools will also receive $2,000 to use toward STEM-related activities. Congratulations to Hanqi Ma and his mentor, PHS Economics teacher Ms.Katelyn Wagner!
