What School Will My Child Attend?

Our four elementary schools are neighborhood-based, so where you live determines which school your child will attend. Please review our Residency Manual to see which elementary school your child will attend determined by your address.

Please note that students enrolling in Kindergarten and 1st grade at Community Park School who do not wish to participate in the Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program will be assigned to an alternate elementary school. Those families should, however, begin the registration process at Community Park.  Students in the Littlebrook, Johnson Park, and Riverside neighborhoods may opt to participate in the DLI program at Community Park School.  When registering your child, please indicate your interest in the program at that time.

If your student is in grades 6-8, your child will attend Princeton Unified Middle School.

Students in grades 9-12 will attend Princeton High School.

Proof of Residency

All students must be properly domiciled in Princeton to attend the Princeton Public Schools. Only full time residents of Princeton may enroll their child or children in the Princeton Public School District. Individuals who knowingly violate this state law may be referred to law enforcement officials to determine whether intentional fraud has occurred.

Please understand that “a student is domiciled in the school district when he or she is the child of a parent or guardian whose permanent home is located within the school district. A home is permanent when the parent or guardian intends to return to it when absent and has no present intent of moving from it, notwithstanding the existence of homes or residences elsewhere.” 6A:22-3.1 (a) 1.
