Littlebrook News

Dear Parent and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2021 – 22 school year!!! We are all excited to welcome the children back to Littlebrook School!

We pride ourselves on providing a welcoming environment where each student’s voice is heard and recognized. Our children will receive Social and Emotional Learning lessons embedded into the established curricula and through purposeful lessons in the classrooms at each grade level. We are committed to enhancing and maintaining the well-being of our students and staff members.

The Littlebrook School staff of highly qualified educators and support personnel is committed to delivering an excellent, complete educational program to its students.  Littlebrook School is one where every child is known and celebrated, and staff members advocate for and support the needs of each student.  It is one where integrated, hands-on learning across the disciplines is the norm and where safety, respect, accountability, support, and excellence are highly evident.  Our teachers regularly use research-based best practices and analyze students’ academic data to determine current skill levels and to set individual goals for growth.  Every school year, we seek to provide all our students with yet another year filled with learning, positive relationships, and the joys of success and accomplishment.

The first day of school for students, Thursday, September 9, will be a full day of school with the learning day ending at 3:00 PM. Each morning, the children must be at their Morning Meetings at 8:25 AM to be counted present for the day. We are asking for your assistance in ensuring this occurs.

Class assignments will be available on PowerSchool on August 27.  The teachers have spent countless hours on the student placement process.  We consider many factors, and our goal is to create a good learning dynamic in each class.  We ask your support with student class assignments. We ask that you do not call the school office to inquire about other students’ placements, as we are unable to provide this information.  Instead, we suggest you call friends directly.

We also have a Family Handbook available on our website that provides additional information about specific procedures we will follow during the year. Please visit the handbook at: https://resources.finalsite.net/images/v1629719626/princetonk12org/qvaogcuwflub3oyjx5kn/2122FamilyHandbook.pdf

I hope you enjoy the last days of summer vacation with your family and friends.  All of us at Littlebrook School are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the students on September 9 and look forward to another exciting and productive year.

Sincerely,

Mr. Luis Ramirez
Principal
