Meet the Principal

Dr. Stacy Young
Dr. Young is proud to serve as the principal of Johnson Park, bringing with her a deep passion for education and a strong commitment to student success. Born and raised in Princeton, NJ, she is a proud product of Princeton Public Schools and is honored to give back to the community that helped shape her.
Dr. Young began her career as a middle school English Language Arts teacher, and her love for literacy and equitable opportunities and access for students has guided every step of her journey. She holds a B.A. in English and Education and an M.Ed. in Educational Administration both from The College of New Jersey, as well as a doctorate in Education from Rider University.
Over the course of her career, Dr. Young has served in a variety of roles, including as a K–12 ELA Supervisor and Director of Equity, Data, and Assessment. These experiences have deepened her belief in creating inclusive, joyful, and academically rich school environments for all students.
Outside of school, Dr. Young is an avid reader and a self-proclaimed chocolate chip cookie connoisseur. She’s also a proud daughter of Haitian immigrants, wife to a fellow educator, and a mom to her spirited daughter Rayna and their two beloved rescue pups. You can often find her at the Princeton Public Library, or enjoying a meal at two of her favorite local spots: Olives and Blue Point Grill.
Dr. Young looks forward to partnering with families, staff, and students to make every day a great one at JP!
