Meet the Supervisor
Hi! I am Kristina Donovan and I am proud to serve as the Supervisor of School Counseling for Princeton Public Schools. I earned my Ph.D. from a CACREP Counselor Education and Supervision program where I focused on increasing referrals to school-based counseling. I love to write and have presented on adolescent anxiety and depression, trauma response, and multicultural competency at numerous national conferences. My main research interests include gender and leadership, school trauma response, professional school counseling program evaluation, and LGBTQ student issues in schools. I have worked as an adjunct professor at Monmouth University, and currently teach in the leadership minor program at Rutgers University.
Outside of my professional work I am an avid traveler. I have been everywhere from South Africa to Montreal, Thailand to England, Australia to California. There is something incredible in experiencing the culture and food of a new place. Speaking of food – that is my other passion and love! I enjoy both eating... and cooking. If you come by to visit me I will be sure to let you know my Princeton favorites. I am married to a High School teacher, and we have two children that share my love of food and travel, thankfully!
I try to be accessible to parents throughout the districts so don’t ever hesitate to send me an email or say hi if you see me! It is an honor to work for this incredible and vibrant community.
