Summer Assignments 2023

Dear PPS Families,
As we anticipate the end of the school year, the Curriculum Department is excited to share our 2023 PPS Summer Assignments.
Please note that:
  • All our rising 1st grade-5th grade assignments are OPTIONAL
  • All our rising 6th-12th grade Math assignments are OPTIONAL
  • Summer Reading for rising 6th-12th grade students is REQUIRED as students will leverage summer texts to participate in class discussions and activities in September
We have once again partnered with our wonderful Princeton Public Library and encourage students’ involvement in their Youth Summer Reading program. Please review the materials on our district website; they can be found on the “Summer Assignments 2023” page under the “Academics” tab. If needed, paper copies can be requested from your school’s main office.
Summer Advanced Placement (AP) course assignments are typically communicated by individual staff members/departments and will be shared with students before the end of June. If you have any questions about summer assignments, please contact:
  • Rising 1st-5th grade Math and Reading: Sarah Moore, Supervisor of Elementary Education, SarahMoore@princetonk12.org
  • Rising 6-12th grade Reading: Keisha Smith-Carrington, Supervisor of 6-12 Humanities, KeishaSmith@princetonk12.org
  • Rising 6-12th grade Math: Tiffany Brennan, Supervisor of 6-12 Mathematics and Business Education, TiffanyBrennan@princetonk12.org
  • AP Course Summer Assignments: The department supervisor of the course
We appreciate your support and wish you a fantastic summer break!

Sincerely,
Kimberly Tew, Ed.D.
