Princeton High School
Completed Princeton High School Improvements
Princeton High School
Referendum funds were used to make improvements to Princeton High School, including a new second floor area that includes classroom and collaborative spaces, a renovated and improved Guidance Suite, a Grab & Go food station, a Wellness Studio, and restroom/snack bar facilities on Tiger Field.
Renovation/Addition: A second floor with four new classrooms and collaborative spaces was constructed.
Improvements to Guidance Offices: Improvements to the guidance department, completed in fall 2021, included renovations to 17 offices and six additional meeting rooms.
Grab & Go Food: This satellite food court provides students with more lunch and break options and reduces overcrowding in the PHS cafeteria.
Electrical Work: Electrical upgrades were completed in the summer of 2020.
HVAC/New Gym: Air conditioning was installed in the New Gym at PHS and the project was successfully completed ahead of schedule in September 2019.
PHS Sports Fields: Field improvements, bathrooms and a snack bar were completed in 2022.
Valley Road Sports Field Improvements: New dugout and new backstop for the Valley Road baseball field (used by PHS students).
Princeton Middle School
Completed Princeton Middle School Renovations
Improvements and renovations at PMS in 2020 included a new Innovation Lab (shown above) with three flexible collaborative classroom spaces, an expanded and upgraded Nurses' Suite, upgrades to the HVAC system, and the installation of air conditioning in classrooms.
Academic Conference Center: The ACC (or Old Library) has been transformed into three flexible classrooms that comprise the Innovation Lab.
Health Office: The health office and nurse's station were upgraded to include a new bathroom that complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act, a medical room, an exam room and three resting areas.
Cafeteria: New air conditioning was installed in the cafeteria.
Security Vestibule: PMS received a new security vestibule in 2020.
Air Conditioning for Classrooms: PMS classrooms received an HVAC upgrade including new air conditioning in 2020.
Electrical Work: Electrical upgrades were done in the summers of 2019 and 2020.
Littlebrook
Completed Littlebrook Improvements
Princeton Public Schools used funds from the $26.9 million 2018 referendum funds for health and safety upgrades. Here are some of the improvements at Littlebrook:
Doors: Littlebrook received 60 new doors and locks in 2020 to improve security.
Security Vestibule: Littlebrook's new entrance vestibule was completed in 2020.
Air Conditioning: Littlebrook will received 24 new classroom air conditioning units in the summer of 2020.
Electrical Work: Initial electrical upgrades, including a new transformer and switchgear, were completed in the summer 2020.
Library: The Littlebrook library received new lighting, new ceiling tiles, a new reception desk, new window blinds, new paint, and new carpeting.
Community Park
Completed Community Park Improvements
Princeton Public Schools used money from the $26.9 million 2018 referendum for health and safety upgrades at the six schools. Here are some of the completed improvements at Community Park:
Doors: At CP, 47 classroom and exterior doors were replaced. The new interior doors at Community Park have improved locks.
Security Vestibule: CP has a new entrance/vestibule for enhanced safety and security. The work was completed in the summer of 2020.
Air Conditioning: The district replaced and upgraded air conditioning in 30 CP classrooms during the summer of 2020.
Electrical Work: Elctrical upgrades, including a new transformer, were completed in the summer of 2020. A new transformer was necessary for the new air conditioning.
Johnson Park
Completed Johnson Park Improvements
Over two years, Princeton Public Schools used $26.9 million in 2018 referendum funds to implement health and safety upgrades to our schools. Here are some of the planned improvements at Johnson Park. These plans will be reviewed by the Board of Education and may change, as necessary, as bids for construction are received.
Doors: To improve security, more than 22 doors and 46 locks were replaced starting in the spring of 2020.
Security Vestibule: JP constructed a new entrance vestibule for enhanced safety and security. The work was completed in the summer of 2020.
Air Conditioning: JP received 31 new air conditioning units in the summer of 2021. The district installed HVAC in the summer of 2021.
Electrical Work: Initial electrical upgrades were completed in the summer of 2019. Johnson Park received a new transformer enabling the air conditioning upgrade.
Riverside
Completed Improvements at Riverside
Princeton Public Schools used funds from the $26.9 million 2018 Referendum to implement health and safety upgrades. Here are some of the completed improvements at Riverside:
Doors: Riverside received 50 new doors and locks in 2020 to improve security.
Security Vestibule: A new entrance vestibule for enhanced safety and security was completed in 2020.
Air Conditioning: Riverside received 28 new air conditioning units in the summer of 2019.
Electrical Work: Electrical upgrades were completed in the summer of 2019, including the new switchgear. The Riverside transformer was sufficient to support the this past summers HVAC work, and did not have to replaced.
