Princeton Public Schools participates in multiple types of reviews that evaluate our district programs.
Every three years, PPS programs are evaluated by the New Jersey Department of Education's Quality Single Accountability Continuum (QSAC).
PPS is also a member of the Tri-State Consortium, a group of high-performing public school districts in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. These districts conduct site visits of various instructional programs and serve as critical friends to ensure each district is reaching its full potential.
During this school year, PPS will participate in both a Tri-States Consortium visit and the QSAC review process. In addition, PPS also intends to conduct an evaluation of our Mathematics and Science programs. A timeline of this work is below:
- The district has received proposals from outside experts to conduct a review of the Mathematics and Science programs.
- A committee of district staff and the BOE’s Student Achievement Committee members will be meeting with the prospective vendors in December.
- The district aims to approve a finalist in January and begin the reviews in the late winter/early spring.
- This work will include a review of our written curricula, classroom observations, surveys, and focus groups of students, staff, and community members.
