Princeton Public Schools recently announced the results of a Special Education Program Evaluation that was done by an outside consultant, the Public Service Group (PCG). The district encourages families to read the report and offer comments and questions.

The district has outlined four goals. There will be more details as PPS finalizes the implementation steps and timelines.

Special Ed Goal 1:  Develop and implement a districtwide co-teaching model. 

Special Ed Goal 2:  Provide training on special-education and individualized-educational-plan (I.E.P.) responsibilities, best practices, and legalities to all special- and general-education teachers. child-study-team members, school counselors, administrators, and supervisors. 

General Ed Goal 1:  Implement with fidelity a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (M.T.S.S.) for academics, behavior, and social-emotional learning in each school. 

General Ed Goal 2: Implement, with fidelity, Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.s) for Intervention & Referral Services (I&RS).
