The Housing and Community Development Network of New Jersey and the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs have a program to prevent eviction. They would like to share these details with the Princeton Public Schools community.
However, these protections are not automatic. In order to take advantage of these protections, families MUST file an Eviction Prevention Income Self-Certification Form, which can be found here:
Filling out this certification has the ability to assist households with getting their eviction cases dismissed.
Additionally, there is a website, www.housinghelpnj.org, that features local, state and federal resources for renters, homeowners & landlords.
Housing Help NJ includes a resource library with resource guides categorized by both county and for specific populations. New Jersey residents can submit a form on the website, call 888-691-3002, or email email@example.com for assistance getting connected to resources or HUD certified housing counseling+ organizations.
