Seher Abbasi (11th) and Sumuk Anand (9th) presented their research at the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium on March 2nd. Seher researches the effect of sleep deprivation on jumping spiders and Sumuk researches the biodegradation of plant-based tableware. This symposium selects students from all over the state to present their work in the form of a poster or oral presentation. The students are judged by professors from Rutgers University and professionals in various biomedical and engineering fields. Both students did an excellent job fielding questions and eloquently explaining their science. Seher was honored with an Award of Excellence in Data Presentation and Statistics. We are very proud of our students' professional demeanor and quality scientific research.
