On the Friday before spring break, students and honored guests had the opportunity to dedicate the historic and newly refurbished pew belonging to Paul Robeson. The pew, in its refurbished state, can be seen and appreciated in the PHS guidance suite. Thank you to everyone who participated in this inspiring ceremony.
After a welcome by Principal Chmiel, Mrs. Olive Giles performed "Lift Every Voice and Sing," followed by remarks by Superintendent Carol Kelley. Congratulations were offered to the PHS students who received the Paul Robeson Scholarship:

Mrs. Shirley Satterfield and Dr. Cecelia B. Hodges spoke about the history of the pew. The PHS Chamber Choir performed. Rev. Lukata Mjumbe, Pastor of the Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church and Board Member of the Paul Robeson House of Princeton made concluding remarks. The event was sponsored by PRESSA and PREA.
