The Princeton Public Schools Board of Education held a special Board meeting on the school facilities referendum on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. The public is invited to attend Board meetings, held at the Valley Road Administration Building, and we hope this brief update is helpful if you are unable to attend. Scott Downie, principal, Spiezle Architectural Group, Inc., provided the community with an update on the current status of the referendum projects, with a highlight on those that are moving ahead this summer and next fall. The presentation also included a look at external elevations proposed for the second-floor addition designed to house four new classrooms at PHS. - The Board awarded a contract to AMCO Enterprises for its lowest responsible total bid of $1,710,700 (base bid and all four alternates) for the Riverside HVAC installation and Electrical Upgrades.
- The Board awarded a contract to Electrical Design & Construction for its lowest responsible bid of $1,354,000 (base bid only) for the Electrical Upgrades at Community Park, Johnson Park, and Littlebrook.
A public comment session followed the presentation.
On Thursday, June 6, the public is invited to meet with members of the Board for an informal breakfast. Bagels with the Board will be held from 8:30 am to 10:00 am in the Valley Road Conference Room.
The Board meeting on June 11 (7:30 pm, Valley Road) will begin with a presentation outlining the district’s approach to safety and security in the Princeton Public Schools.
